Fayzulla Khodjaev

 Today we went to the Fayzulla Khodjaev museum in 10-20 o'clock.

This museum in Bukhara.Our coursmates Nigina and Kamola gave  information about this museum and they prepared some activities.




Fayzulla Khodjaev Museum was one of the most striking personalities in the political arena of Bukhara in the beginning of the 20th century. One of leaders of Young Bukharians- Jadids, a political figure, a patron of art, a fighter for equal rights and democracy, he was in 1938.

Fayzulla Khodjaev was born in the family of a wealthy trader Ubaydullokhoja. His father tried to give him the secular education, so Fayzulla Khodjaev studied in Russia for a long time. Upon his return home to Bukhara in 1913, he joined Bukharan Jadids. In 1916 -1920 he was one of the leaders of Young Bukharan Party (Jadids) that stroke against dehumanish activity of the Emir of Bukhara.












Today in Fayzulla Khodjaev Museum along with the memorial exposition there are two thematic exhibitions. The first one shows the mode of rich Uzbek merchants and includes the original subjects of luxury, furniture and musical instruments, silk and velvety oriental robes. The second exhibition demonstrates the wide collection of dishes, where the items of Kuznetcov and Gardner factories, copper and silver dishes of Bukhara masters are presented.


The exposition of Fayzulla Khodjaev Museum tells about the way of life of Uzbekistan of different times. The greater part of museum pieces includes ancient original products.


It is interesting, under the House-Museum of Fayzulla Khodjaev there is a system of underground tunnels, which purpose is still unknown. May be they were constructed by Fayzulla Khodjaev, in case of danger it was possible to hide from Khan’s anger. But, perhaps, the tunnels have more ancient history, and they had been here before the house building.

 Today was our practice day and we went to the Samoniys madres and Chashmayi Ayub medres.This place very beautiful.Our coursmates give information about this place. The Samanid Mausoleum is a mausoleum located in the northwestern part of Bukhara, Uzbekistan, just outside its historic center. 2day practice

 Today was our second day of practice and we went to Minaret Kalyan. The Kalyan Minaret (Persian/Tajik: Minâra-i Kalân, Kalon Minor, Kalon Minaret[2]) is a minaret of the Po-i-Kalyan mosque complex in Bukhara, Uzbekistan and one of the most prominent landmarks in the city. Kalyan Minaret Persian: مناره کلان The Kalyan Minaret was built twice. The fact is it collapsed just before it was completed the first time, probably because of the builders did not take into account the soft ground underneath, due to the many cultural layers beneath the city. A new, more durable foundation was laid for the minaret and, by 1127, construction of this second minaret was completed.
