Boboyi Poradoz mausoleum
Hazrat Baboyi Poradoz (Baboyi Shawqi; Sheikh Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Ahmad Al Askof) is a hermit, scholar, sheikh from Central Asia (VIII-IX centuries).Boboyi Poradoz was born in Bukhara in 842 and died in 925. He lived 83 years. Sources say "Shavqi Baba's original name is Poradoz." The reason for this is said to be that he lived with the love of God. That's why they called the sharif family "Baboyi Shavqi".Also, the Char Bakrs of Bukhara, i.e. Abu Bakr Sa'd, Abu Bakr Fazl, Abu Bakr Tarkhan, Abu Bakr Hamid, and Abu Jafar Hinduwani, who is considered a well-known mujtahid (regulator of religious rules), were students of Babayi Poradoz.Boboyi Poradoz was considered the pir of tailors, shoemakers, mahsidoz and other professions.
The mausoleum of Babayi Poradoz is located outside the Sallakhana gate of Bukhara city. Bukhara is one of the shrines. In the southeastern part of Bukhara, opposite the Sallyah-Khon gate, there is the Boboi Poraduza Mausoleum. The patron saint of all craftsmen who dealt with the needle - shoemakers, tailors, gold embroiderers, etc. is buried in the Mausoleum. As it is written in the Book of Mullazade,
Boboi Poraduz lived around the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th century. His full name is Abu Bakr Muhammad al Iskof. The word "Iskof" is of Arabic origin, means shoemaker, "Poraduz" in Tajik means "putting patches".Salohiddin Toshkandi writes that when Amir Timur was 14-15 years old, he met Boboi Poraduz. Boboi Poraduz lived for 90 years and died around 1350. In 1370, being the ruler of Maverannahr, Amir Timur built a mausoleum, a khanaka, a hauz, a mosque on the grave of Boboi Poraduz.
According to another legend, if “the ashes from the mazar of Boboi-Poraduza are sprinkled on a wound, then it will instantly bring healing.” The worship of the mausoleum of this master was so great that those riding past it dismounted from their horses, and those on foot took off their hats. All craftsmen, who considered Boboi-Poraduza their patron, once every 3-4 years held their meetings at the mazar.Every year at the grave of Boboi Poraduz 2-3 times a year, the “Arvokhi Pir” was held. On the days of the spring holiday of Navruz, artisans brought their products from the cities and villages of Central Asia. For such meetings, general treats were organized, and on Tuesdays - during Navruz - special women's festivities. Since then, the fame of Saint Boboi Poradus as the most skilled craftsman has spread throughout the region, and he was unanimously recognized as the Pir (head) of this craft ...
In addition to Boboi Poradusa, several more feasts of artisans were buried in the mausoleum - Boboi Namati. His grave had a mosque, a hauz, a well, a minaret. Also here was the grave of Sheikh Mahmud Sambusapaz.
This all information about Boi Poradusa๐๐.
And our practice was end at 11 o'clock. Then Sevara Nigina Nilufar Gulbadan and me took a lot of pictures and videos from there . Then we went our home at 12..30 o'clock.
So see you tomorrow ๐๐ฑ.
